- It might have been the highest rated show ever on MyNetworkTV but Smackdown! suffered a significant drop in overall viewership last Friday as the show pulled in a 1.9 compared to the 2.4 from last week which translates to 3.2 million viewers. The show was also the best among other networks when it comes to the much sought-after 18-34 male demographic which WWE won by 33% over the second network. "The all-star kick-off of ‘WWE Friday Night SmackDown,’ on its new home on MyNetworkTV was a knockout. We look forward to the edge of your seat story lines and Superstar matches that the WWE has in store this season," said Greg Meidel, president of MyNetworkTV. While MyNetworkTV officials may be doing cartwheels with that number, the fact that the network is not in many markets must be bothering to WWE as it will negatively effect their overall rating in the future.
