- During the conference call earlier this week, the move of Smackdown! from CW Network to the lowest rated network on TV today was deemed as a "better fit" according to WWE CEO Linda McMahon. In September, WWE moves its Friday show to MyNetworkTV after WWE and CW didn't come to terms to a new agreement earlier this year. "My Network TV has embraced Smackdown as the cornerstone of its lineup. With a broad reach to over 97% of US households, this new network, whom represents a better fit for our program, and provides more favorable terms to WWE," said McMahon at the conference call. "We are confident that My Network TV will help broaden Smackdown’s audience and provide better financial returns to us over the long term." Superstation WGN was the other network fighting for the rights to broadcast Smackdown!
