Every week, Monday Night RAW comes from a different arena from a different city around the country, but usually WWE always goes to the same arena when going back to each city. Tonight however, it will be different.
For the first time in RAW history, the show will be coming to you live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located right on the Las Vegas Strip. RAW was originally supposed to air from the Thomas & Mack Center which is located on the campus of the University of Nevada - the usual home for WWE in Las Vegas - but it had to be moved due to scheduling conflict with another show at the arena.
The Mandalay Bay Events Center is one of the two UFC Las Vegas homes along with the MGM Grand Garden Arena at the MGM Grand Hotel. WWE never ran shows at the MGM either, although WCW held several shows including pay-per-views on the property. The only other WWE show that was ever held outside the Thomas & Mack Center was WrestleMania IX, which was held at Caesar's Palace.
