The Punjabi Police Department has suspended Dalip Singh, better known to fans as The Great Khali, for taking more unauthorized leave than he was allowed.

Before joining WWE, Khali was an assistant sub-inspector but after he signed the contract the department gave him special leave to pursue his WWE career.

In a story that was published on several newspapers based in India including the Calcutta News, it was revealed that the Commandant of the 7th Battalion of Punjab Armed Police decided Khali was not entitled anymore to additional leave and is suspended for failing to show up back to work.
