- A couple of weeks ago we posted a picture of Wayne Gretzky - who heads the Phoenix Coyotes team - sporting a WrestleMania 2010 long sleeve shirt which accompanied an article in a Swedish newspaper. Today, the Arizona Republic newspaper has a story about officials from the University of Phoenix Stadium holding talks with WWE management to possibly hold WrestleMania 2010 in their massive stadium. "It's certainly not a done deal but we've had some good dialog," said one of the people behind the negotiations. The story also notes that WWE officials toured the facility recently however a decision is not expected for months and the location for WrestleMania 25 hasn't even been announced yet. "We're supportive of any event that is a good fit, will fill the stadium and will bring in revenue to Glendale," city spokeswoman Julie Frisoni said.
