- In one of his latest blogs, now Smackdown! announcer Jim Ross said that his previous blog right after the draft was ill advised, yet very honest. Ross admitted the he considered quitting after Monday Night RAW finished due to being drafted to Smackdown! without any prior knowledge. "I broke one of my own cardinal rules of writing, never write when angry," exclaimed Ross. But now the WWE Hall of Famer has seemed to embrace the idea of moving on to Smackdown! and work with former WWE champion Mick Foley. "I am positively moving on. I am going to do all I can to make Smackdown the best program the WWE produces," he added, noting that Smackdown! is filled with great talent and he intends to help the brand grow as they move to a new network within a couple of months. "I wish my good pal The King and Michael Cole great success but my professional priority is to help Smackdown kick ass. In more ways than one, 'the game is on.'"
