After several pushes, two Wellness violations and near championship wins, Jeff Hardy is finally on top of the world as the former IC, tag team and hardcore champion won the big WWE title defeating Edge and Triple H in a triple threat match yesterday at Armageddon. This is his first Heavyweight title win and it will be interesting to see how long the super fan favorite will keep the strap around his waist.
In other matches from the show, Vladimir Kozlov defeated Matt Hardy in a non-title match; CM Punk became the number one contender for the IC title after defeating Rey Mysterio; Fit Finlay defeated Mark Henry in a Belfast Brawl match; Batista defeated Randy Orton clean with the Batista bomb; Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool and Maria defeated Maryse, Jillian Hall, Victoria and Natalya in an eight Diva tag team match; John Cena retained the World Heavyweight title after he defeated Chris Jericho with the STFU.
