- Whenever there's a season 'premiere' of Smackdown! WWE loads it up with a serious main event and this year it will be no different. To celebrate the move to MyNetworkTV starting on October 3rd, Smackdown!'s main event that night will be a three way match between the World Heavyweight champion Chris Jericho, the ECW champion Matt Hardy and the WWE Heavyweight champion Triple H. MyNetworkTV beat out Superstation WGN for the rights of Smackdown! after WWE announced that it will no longer air its show on the CW Network. MyNetworkTV is composed of channels from the old Fox and WB which did not choose to join the CW when it was formed.
