- "I'm tired of signing autographs. I can make more money wrestling." Those are the words that Ric Flair told Alex Marvez in an interview for the Scripps Howard News Service which was released today.

Flair has said in the past that he would not wrestle unless he has the blessing of Shawn Michaels and WWE following the wonderful send off he received the day after WrestleMania XXIV.

"People in Europe are offering me a fortune," he continued. "I keep thinking, 'Why am I signing autographs when I can still take backdrops?'"

In a funny note, Flair said that he sent WWE Chairman Vince McMahon a text message last month to inquire why he wasn't included in the WWE Draft. McMahon kept his answer short and sweet. "He said I'm retired," Flair added.
