- The Rated-R Superstar Edge will be undergoing surgery to repair his torn pectoral muscle, an injury he picked up during last week's Smackdown! tapings in New Orleans, LA., during the final segment of the show. Edge surrendered his World Heavyweight title yesterday during the Smackdown! tapings since he is unable to compete. He is expected to be out of action for at least four months with either late November or early December as a possible return to the ring. Edge is the second - following the Undertaker - Smackdown! Superstar who had to surrender the World title since WrestleMania.
