- One half of the unified tag team champions and former World heavyweight champion, Edge, is believed to have suffered a serious injury yesterday during a live event in San Diego, CA.

Edge was supposed to be in a match against Jeff Hardy however right after the match got underway, Edge suffered the injury and required the help of the WWE trainer and EMTs.

According to eye witness reports nothing looked out of the ordinary as Edge was just running when he dropped down so it could be one of those freak accidents like Triple H suffered when he tore his quad with a simple move.

Edge got on the mic and said "Sorry" to the fans for what happened.

WWE officials checked the surface of the ring afterward. Different sources are saying that Edge could have suffered a torn Achilles tendon and could be out for quite a while.
