The Arizona Republic is reporting that current WWE champ John Cena has been selected as the grand marshal in the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade this January.

He will be involved in the game-day coin toss as well as leading the parade.

"As both a former college football athlete and an electric entertainer, John will make the perfect Fiesta Bowl ambassador to college football fans and the entire state of Arizona," said Fiesta Bowl Chairman of the Board Alan Young in a press release.

The parade starts at 11AM on January 2 while the game will be played on January 4 at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the site of WrestleMania XXVI.
