- WWE has released former WWE Women's champion Candice Michelle.

The former Playboy cover girl auditioned for the 2004 RAW Diva Search contest however was not chosen. Despite that, WWE signed her to a contract that same year and in 2005 she was moved to Smackdown and flip flopped brands since then.

In October 2007 she suffered a serious injury after Beth Phoenix kicked the ropes while she was on the top rope and Michelle landed face first on the mat and was knocked silly. She was out of action over three months due to a broken left clavicle.

In her first match back in 2008 she re-injured her clavicle, shattering it, and was out for an additional six months.

In her WWE career she won the Women's championship once.
