- Despite being one of the highest rated programs on The CW Network, President Dawn Ostrof played down the importance of Smackdown! on the network as the two sides will be parting ways this September. While analysts say that the network will be hurt in certain demographics without Smackdown! on board, Ostrof said that the show is not going to break out anymore. "It is a program that is on the demise," she explained. "It's also a program that does not fit our brand." Certainly different words being spoken now that WWE chose to go to MyNetworkTV after the two failed to reach a compromise on a contract extension. CW will be replacing Smackdown! with two comedies and a rerun of America's Next Top Model to occupy the time slot. The network is also banking on the remake of the 90's popular TV series Beverly Hills 909210 to bring in additional viewers.
