CM Punk used the services of Twitter to request a special play-by-play announcer for his WWE title match against John Cena next week on the RAW 1000 episode.
"@JRsBBQ Should call the title match next week on the #RAW1000 show. @JohnCena let's make it happen," Punk wrote earlier today, calling WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross by his Twitter handle.
While Lawler and Cole will surely be ringside for the main event, it's not the first time that when someone requests the services of Jim Ross, he's added as the third man in the broadcast booth.
Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H, are some of the people who at some point in their career requested Jim Ross to call their match when he wasn't doing regular commentary for the company. With this being the 1,000th episode of the show and not to mention that this will be a huge WWE title match on free TV, chances are that the powers that be will granting Punk's wish.
