It's bad news for Brock Lesnar and MMA fans as the UFC Heavyweight champion has been confirmed of suffering from mononucleosis.

Otherwise known as Pfeiffer's disease and "kissing disease," mononucleosis is an infectious, very widespread viral disease caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, a type of Herpes virus.

UFC canceled the Lesnar vs Carwin fight which was supposed to headline UFC 106 and moved it to UFC 108 for the January 2, 2010 show however the fight is now being pushed back even further, if it happens at all.

Speaking to Yahoo! Sports, UFC President Dana White said he is now not sure if the company will go straight to that fight when Lesnar is back up and running or if they will fight Carwin another opponent in the meantime.

"We’re still trying to figure it out and I’m really not sure where any of it stands right now," White said.
