Chiesa wins UFC's TUF, plus The Hitman stops Ellenberger

Tonight the UFC will declare a winner for this season's The Ultimate Fighter Live. After the longest time in the house in The Ultimate Fighter history at thirteen weeks only two men are left. Michael Chiesa will face off against Al Iaquinta in a lightweight matchup to for this years trophy and contract. Team Faber fighter Mike Chiesa whose father passed away in the beginning of the show came back after the memorial clearly focused on what he came to accomplish. Al Iaguinta who also is a Team Faber member defeated teammate Andy Ogle in the quarter finals and Team Cruz fighter Vincent Pichel in the semifinals to advance to the Finale.
The main event will have two of the best welterweights in the UFC square off as Jake "The Juggernaut" Ellenberger looks across the cage at Martin "The Hitman" Kampmann. Ellenberger is coming into tonight on a six fight win streak with notable wins over the likes of Jake Shields in a first round Knockout and most recently in February he picked up a Unanimous Decision over Diego Sanchez. The Hitman has 14 wins in the UFC including a split decision over current interim champion Carlos Condit. In his last two fights he stopped Thiago Alves by submission and took a split decision over Rick Story.
Tune in to FX tonight at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT for the main card. The prelims will air
on FuelTv at 7pm ET/ 4pm PT and the first two fights on facebook will begin
streaming at 6:25pm ET/ 3:25 pm PT.

Main Card
Welterweights
Jake Ellenberger vs Martin Kampmann
Round 1-
In the first thirty seconds Ellenberger connects with a left hook that blasts Kampmann. Kampmann is down. Kampmann is able to survive and avoid some ground and pound to clear the cobb webs. Kampmann is sitting up against the cage now. Ellenberger explodes with a short burst of left and right hands. Kampmann has his arm around the neck of Ellenberger but doesnt look to be trying to choke him yet just holding on so not to waste energy. Kampmann is able to get back to his feet and works for a double leg until the first round comes to a close.
Round 2-
Kampmann with a nice right hand has Ellenberger going backwards. Ellenberger goes wild and is winging punches all over the place. Ellenberger bust the nose of Kampmann. Kampmann gets out of danger and Ellenberger calms down. Kampmann gets the clinch and lands three serious knees to the head of Ellenberger and down he goes. Kampmann follows up with some hammer fist but the ref has seen enough.

Lightweights TUF Finale
Mike Chiesa vs Al Iaquinta
Round 1-
Chiesa has a kick caught early and Iaquinta backs up to the fence and lands some good blows. Chiesa gets free and keeps working to get the take down but Iaquinta won't allow it. Iaquinta is getting the better of the stand up thus far. Chiesa goes for another takedown and gets close enough to get the body lock. Chiesa takes Iaquinta's back and sinks in his hooks on the ground. Chiesa has the rear naked choke under the chin of Iaquinta and Iaquinta is asleep.

Harley Davidson also gives Chiesa a motorcycle to go along with his trophy and UFC contract.
Featherweights
Jonathan Brookins vs Charles Oliveira
Round 1-
After a period of finding their range Oliveira connects with a flying knee but Brookins holds on tight and gets the take down. Oliveira threatens and arm bar and they are back to their feet. Oliveira is now clearly getting the edge in striking. Oliveira's right hand is landing on will now even as he moves out of the way of the jab from Brookins. Brookins gets a few shots in during the last minute of the round and bloodies the nose of Oliveira. Brookins Catches a jumping kick from Oliveira and the round comes to a close.
Round 2-
The fighters clasp hands at the beginning of the round and look excited after a good fast paced first round. Brookins is able to land a series of right uppercuts in a row before Oliveira gets space and resets. Oliveira charges forward and attempts another flying knee that Brookins Catches. Brookins is going for the guillotine as Oliveira goes for the take down. Oliveira gets it and is able to pop his head out. Oliveira locks in his own guillotine and falls back onto his back and Brookins has to tap.

Featherweights
Max Holloway vs Pat Schilling
Round 1-
Holloway clearly is taking advantage of being a tall 145er standing at 5'11". Schilling keeps trying to no avail to get Holloway to the ground. Holloway mixing his shots to the head and body. Schilling lands a good spinning back fist but goes on to take some heavy punishment to the body. Schilling is able to get the take down and ties up the leg of Holloway looking for a knee bar as the round ends.
Round 2-
Holloway the current youngest fighter in the UFC at 20 years old lands a good right hand. Holloway is hurting Schilling with the punches now. Schilling is getting stuck up against the cage and all he is able to do is turtle up. Holloway drops the aim of his punches and is doing a number on the body. Schilling is just flailing to the dround after he is eating a serious of shots but Holloway wants no part of the ground and makes the ref stand him up. Schilling is able to land a nice spinning back fist but Holloway goes to work with punches again. Schilling crumbles to the mat but is saved by the bell. Well maybe it means he has to come back out.
Round 3-
Holloway with at least a half dozen jabs followed by a nice body kick. Schilling still can't get a takedown on Holloway. Schilling attempts another spinning back fist but Holloway wags his figure "No" as he steps out of the way of it. Half way through round 3 and Holloway has landed more than 100 significant strikes to less than 40 for Schilling. Schilling eats a combo and falss to the ground only to eat a few hammer fist before Holloway has the ref make him get back up. Holloway busted Schillings nose there towards the end.

Justin Lawrence vs John Cofer
Round 1-
First kick from each man leads to a take down by the other. Niether man landed much other than a couple elbows before their opponent could get back to his feet. Cofer's striking was looking good in the first half of the round he even rocked Lawrence with a left I believe. As the round carried on though Lawrence started finding a home for his two and three punch combos. Lawrence landed some good left hooks in the latter part of the round but Cofer was pressing the action in the last minute or so.
Round 2-
First two minutes of the second round we have seen Cofer come in throwing combos while charging forward. He is able to connect on one or two punches before Lawrence steps to the side and lands a couple good punches of his own. As the round progresses Lawrence is able to once again finding the face of Cofer. Lawrence attempts a back kick and Cofer takes his back and suplexes him to the mat. As Cofer is getting his hooks in Lawrence slips out the back but dives back into the guard of Cofer right before the round ends.
Round 3-
OH MY!!! Justin Lawrence starts with a feint of a front kick followed by a left hand that misses as Cofer is going backwards. Cofers hands are down and he eats a right high kick that thuds on the jaw and turns Cofers lights out. WOW That was kick that connected clean and solid.

Daron Cruickshank vs Chris Tickle
Round 1-
Right from the get go Cruickshank goes for a takedown but Tickle locked in a gullotine but wasn't able to get it under the chin. Cruickshank was able to keep him on the ground. Tickle goes for an upkick and was docked a point because Cruickshank was on the ground in his guard. After they are restarted Tickle comes out punches blazing but cruickshank quickly gets the fight back to the ground and worked short elbows.
Round2-
The first half of the second round started out much like the first. Tickle comes forward with punches, Cruickshank gets the take down then fights out of a choke before he delivers elbows. The ref stands them up and Cruickshank lands a sweet left lead kick. Tickle taunts him and when Cruickshank comes forward Tickle puts him on his butt with a right hand. Tickle spends the rest of the time in the round on top landing some ground and pound to head and body.
Round 3-
Great round of grappling in the fight both men threatened with chokes ground and pound and had achieved dominant postitions from bad positions. Tickle was able to counter one of the trips and take side control to start off the good ground action. This was the first fight in the night to make it the distance and put it in the judges hands.

Myles Jury vs Chris Saunders
Round 1-
The first round was a dominant showing from Jury. He utilized his height well taking advantage of the kicks both head and front kick. Jury also delivered many good combos in the round. The end came when Jury went for a flying knee and Saunders avoided and got a high crotch take down. Jury reconized it immediately and strapped on the gullotine choke that ended the fight. Saunders did try to fight his way out but it was to tight and he had to tap. Myles jury moved onto 10-0 in his career.

Cristiano Marcello vs Sam Sicilia
Round 1-
Sicilia from the opening of the fight is looking to land that big right hand that got him into the house after an 8 second knockout. Both of the fighters were cornered by their respective coaches tonight. Marcello landed a couple combos but his bread and butter is the bjj game and he wasn't able to tie up Sicilia on the ground at all in the first round.
Round 2-
In round 2 Marcello landed a nice body kick and series of punches leading into a single leg attempt but was not able to finish it. Marcello is landing a number of punches to the face of Sicilia and as the commentators mention Sicilia was looking tired from all the power punches he was throwing he lands a knee that rocks Marcello. Sicilia followed him to the canvas and unloaded the right hand until the ref stops it.

Joe Proctor vs Jeremy Larsen
Round 1-
Team Faber Joe Proctor had a good showing with his striking he landed an upward knee from within the clinch to stagger Team Cruz's Jeremy Larsen. Proctor quickly followed him to the canvas and delivered hammer fist until referree Herb Dean made the safe and pulled Proctor off of him.

Bantamweights
John Albert vs Erik Perez
Round 1-
John Albert had EriK Perez fighting off submissions from early in the fight. Perez defended against all of them well and when he was able to attempt an armbar submission Referee Kim Winslow called a stop to the fight saying John Albert verbally tapped out. From the stream you don't hear one and don't see is mouth moving. Albert was working on getting out of it when she stopped the fight. This is not the first time Kim Winslow has had questionable calls in the cage whether it is stopping fights to early or late as with a Lawal fight his opponent was getting pounded on and she stood there and watched as he was clearly helpless.
Winner by verbal tapout to armbar in Round 1 Erik Perez.
Dana White tweeted later in the night: "Just an FYI John Albert will get his win bonus after the ridiculous stoppage by Winslow. Always cleaning up after bad reffin."
