In a good night of fights tonight Demetrious Johnson earned the unanimous decision victory in his rematch with Ian McCall. The two men when the distance in the first fight and it ended in a draw this time Johnson took the decision on all three judges scorecards. Johnson will now move on to face the winner of the other semifinal tournament matchup Joseph Benavidez.
In the co-main event Erick Silva came out and proved that he is a force to be reckoned with in the UFC welterweight division. Silva once again kept from going to the second round by getting the rear naked choke submission victory in the last minute of the first round. The Nogueira bjj black belt threatened the wrestler Charlie Brenneman with a couple of submissions in the fight but once he took his back he flattened him out with the hooks and there wasn't much Brenneman could do. Erick Silva takes home the Submission of the Night bonus.
The fight of the night was awarded to Eddie Wineland vs Scott Jorgensen. The two former WEC stars went to the center of the cage and banged on each other for almost two full rounds. That was until Wineland land a right hand down the pipe that dropped Jorgensen and followed it up with a little ground and pound until the ref could push him off.
Mike Pyle takes home the Knock out of the night bonus with a short right hand that landed clean on the jaw of "The Dentist" Josh Neer. Neer had him pressed against the cage and was working the body shots but as he stepped in to close the distance the last time Pyle brought the right hand that caused Neer to do a face plant on the canvas. Pyle knew he was out and didn't bother following him to the ground.
