Bobby Lashley has signed a long-term deal with MMA company STRIKEFORCE, the same company that brought Fedor Emelianenko to CBS during their last live show.
The announcement was made on their official website just after it was reported that former UFC fighter Dan Henderson also jumped ship.
Lashley - a former ECW champion - will be making his debut at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL., on Saturday, January 30 against an opponent yet to be determined at the STRIKEFORCE: Miami event which will air live on CBS.
"I’m looking forward to fighting for STRIKEFORCE and challenging myself by taking on some of the top heavyweights in MMA," said Lashley, who currently holds an MMA record of 4-0.
The statement on the STRIKEFORCE website listed him as former WWE champion and at the end of the press release it was mentioned that he joined TNA earlier this year.
