Josh Stewart over at ESPN conducted a short interview with former WWE champion Batista to talk about his MMA training.
Batista left WWE earlier this year to pursue a career in acting as well as mixed martial arts, something which many people deemed him to be too old at 41 years of age to take on such a sport.
"I didn't agree with the direction the company was going in," Batista said citing his reason for departing the company.
"It was geared more toward the PG rating. I fell in love with wrestling again in the late '90s with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson," he added.
"It was edgy, and that was the kind of wrestling I knew and loved. It wasn't like that anymore, and my passion for it died a little bit."
