Former WWE champion Batista did a two-day MMA training "camp" with Cesar Gracie thanks to Strikeforce who helped organized the meeting after Batista expressed interest in the sport according to Sherdog.com.
Batista trained at the Gracie gym in Lodi, CA., with former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields and welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
"He’s got a lot to learn but his strength alone is impressive," Gracie told Sherdog.com. "Obviously he’s a beginner at jiu-jitsu but we can take a guy like that that’s already a strong athlete like that and teach him what to not get caught in."
Gracie added that Batista is a good kicker, hits very hard and is a natural athlete.
Strikeforce officials are negotiating with Batista to give him his first professional mixed martial arts fight. CEO Scott Coker has said he would be interested to see Batista inside the cage, especially against another former WWE Superstar, Bobby Lashley.
Batista quit WWE a few months ago.
