Taz calls out The Rock for stealing idea for new Rock YouTube channel show

Former ECW champion Taz and The Rock had a little sparring on Twitter after the People’s Champion announced a new show for his YouTube channel called Rock The Promo, giving fans a chance to cut promos in a tournament.

The idea has been done for the past year by Taz on his live CBS radio show in a segment titled Hump Day Promos every Wednesday. Not happy with the announcement, Taz called out The Rock on Twitter. “My bro @TheRock straight up gimmick infringement on a weekly series I been doing for a YEAR on my show,” he wrote. “Been doing #humpdaypromos for ONE YEAR on #TheTazShow rules NEVER changed (45 sec promo). We all worked hard, now @TheRock doing it. Wow.”

Bombarded by responses from fans, The Rock reacted to the Taz tweets. “Bro just seeing this. Surprised to see all your tweets when you could’ve just reached out personally and we rap about it,” The Rock said. He then told Taz that he had no idea he even had a radio show. “No heat. This is silly. I’ll text U,” he continued.

Taz said that he has no beef with The Rock but he will defend his show and every person who submitted a promo the past year for his show. “Trust me, I am taking the high road,” Taz then replied to another tweet from a fan.
