Ric Flair on kidney dialysis after colon surgery

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Ric Flair underwent colon surgery to remove a blockage that caused a variety of health problems including kidney failure.

The 16-time World champion remains in critical condition at a hospital in Atlanta where he is on kidney dialysis as well. Meltzer adds that the major issue at the moment is to get the kidneys functioning normal again.

While the surgery was successful, it remains to be seen how Flair’s body reacts to the procedure and he will remain hospitalized for the time being. Getting the kidneys working again will be a big win but failing to do so will complicate matters.

Flair was admitted to the hospital by his family with heart-related problems. Initially, his management team at Legacy Talent said that it wasn’t serious and it was just a routine check but the statement couldn’t have been farther from the actual truth.
