Linda McMahon loses second Senate election

For the past four years, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon dedicated her life campaigning trying to become a U.S. Senator. Last night, her second shot at the Senate seat was lost as Democrat Chris Murphy defeated McMahon in the election.

Flanked by her son Shane, daughter Stephanie, son-in-law Triple H, and husband Vince, Linda conceded the race just two hours after the Associated Press predicted that Murphy was going to win at the Hilton Stamford Hotel.

The 64 year old suffered heavy losses in Bridgeport, New Haven, and Hartford, and there was no way back up the ladder from that point onward.

In the 2010 election, McMahon lost the race by 11% and this time, with 90% precincts reporting at time of this writing, she was trailing Murphy by 12%.

McMahon spent close to $50 million during this race, in addition to the $50 million of her own money she splashed for the failed 2010 race as well.

You can see her speech conceding the race below.
