Hulk Hogan’s legal team rest their case against Gawker

Hulk Hogan’s legal team rested their case against Gawker yesterday after a full week of testimony from Hulk himself and other paid expert witnesses with the hopes of winning the $100 million lawsuit.

On Monday, Gawker’s attorneys will call its witnesses and things are expected to heat up when Gawker.com founder Nick Denton takes the stand. Last week, AJ Daulerio, the man behind the Hogan sex tape post on Gawker, took the stand and stunned the courtroom with one of his replies.

Asked to explain if there would be a time when a celebrity sex tape would not be newsworthy, Daulerio said yes, if it involved a child. Asked, “Under what age?” by Hogan’s attorney, Daulerio replied, “Four.”

Gawker’s attorneys could choose to show the video next week as part of their plan but Circuit Court Judge Pamela Campbell, who is presiding the case, said that only jury can see it and no one else.
