Former WWE jobber “Iron” Mike Sharpe passes away

Former WWE enhancement talent ‘Iron’ Mike Sharpe passed away at his home in Hamilton, Ontario, this past weekend according to PWInsider.com. He was 64 years old.

Sharpe spent over a decade in the then World Wrestling Federation serving mainly as a jobber on practically every television show the company produced at the time. During the early 80s, Sharpe was managed by Captain Lou Albano for a brief time and even wrestled for the title against Bob Backlund in 1983.

The Canadian Sharpe retired in 1995 and in 2007 he ended up in a wheelchair due to a back injury and other health problems. His cause of death has not been revealed.
