Former WWE and TNA star Zach Gowen does America Ninja Warrior

Former WWE and TNA wrestler Zach Gowen took part in NBC’s American Ninja Warrior yesterday in the Indianapolis qualifying run.

Gowen showed up with his prosthetic leg but removed it before he started the difficult obstacle course. He managed to do the first two parts of the course which is obviously not built for anyone with one leg, with the announcers clearly behind the #OneLeggedWarrior. Other athletes had tried and did not even manage to get where Gowen arrived. However the third part of the course was deemed to difficult and he did not have enough momentum to skip from the first ring to the middle one.

Zach got famous when in 2003 he signed with the WWE after a short stint with TNA. He got attacked by Roddy Piper and Sean O’Haire after he tried to save Hulk Hogan who was under the Mr. America mask. Perhaps the most famous, and jaw-dropping, moment for him came when Brock Lesnar viciously attacked Gowen and threw him down a flight of stairs on Smackdown.
