Filming on Dwayne Johnson’s next movie San Andreas starts next week

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is currently in Australia where filming for his next movie, San Andreas, will start shooting next week.

San Andreas is an earthquake disaster movie which will be shot in 3D and features the former WWE champion in the leading role as a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department Air Squadron Rescue. The plot revolves around a massive earthquake which hits the state of California and Johnson, playing a rescue helicopter pilot, makes a dangerous journey across the state to rescue his estranged daughter.

Johnson says that this big budget production will be the biggest earthquake disaster movie ever produced.

Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, Colton Haynes, and Art Parkinson are the others who have major roles in the movie which is directed by Brad Peyton.

It is produced by New Line Cinema and Village Roadshow Pictures and will be released on June 5, 2015.
