Chavo Guerrero Jr., comments on the passing of his father

Chavo Guerrero Jr., paid tribute to his father in a post on Instagram after news came out that Chavo Classic passed away at age 68.

“Today the world lost a true rebel. He did things “HIS” way. Not always right, not always wrong, but He always followed what he believed in,” Chavo wrote.

“He was diagnosed with liver cancer in early January of this year. As believer in Christ Jesus, he is now in Paradise. Today is a sad day in the Guerrero family. Rest In Peace Chavo “Classic” Guerrero Sr.,” Chavo’s statement read.

Meanwhile, two big friends of the Guerrero family, John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Chris Jericho, also commented on the passing of their friend.

JBL wrote that his greatest compliment came from Chavo Sr., when he was visiting him before Eddie Guerrero’s funeral. “He said ‘Today you are a Guerrero.’ Loved that man,” he wrote. “A true pioneer and legend in this business. It was a pleasure to know him, even if he did owe me 60 dollars. Say hi to Eddy for me bro,” added Jericho.
