IC champ Rey Mysterio suspended for 30 days

WWE Intercontinental champion Rey Mysterio failed the Wellness Program test and will be suspended for 30 days effective Wednesday, September 2.

The announcement was made on WWE.COM yesterday and this is Mysterio's first Wellness strike. The note on WWE.COM referred to Mysterio by his real name of Oscar Gutierrez.

The suspension starts next week to give him time to drop the Intercontinental title during the Smackdown television tapings on Tuesday.

There are 3 people who I would be TOTALLY surprised if they fail the test and Mysterio was one of them. The other two are CM Punk and John Cena.

Mysterio's failure plus that interview will really put some bad heat on him. Too bad, he's awesome.

His reasoning definitely made sense, but to say it the way he did for sure put him deeper in the dog house.
