Big night for Rourke, Tomei at the Academy Awards

- It's a big night for Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei as the 81st Annual Academy Awards are just hours away.

Rourke is nominated in the best actor in a leading role category for his portrayal of Randy 'The Ram' Robinson while Tomei is nominated in the best supporting actress role category for her work as Cassidy.

Wrestling in general got big publicity over the past couple of months thanks to the Darren Aronofsky movie and Mickey Rourke is the big favorite to win the golden statue. Unfortunately for Tomei the odds aren't in her favor according to several insiders in the movie business but it's still an honor to be nominated regardless.

For Rourke, winning the Oscar would be the cherry on the cake for his Hollywood comeback.

Too bad. He deserved it and I think the people were kinda rooting for him to win it too. I guess that's the closest as he'll ever get to an Oscar.

sad that he did not get it, but in the past, he has pissed off the academy members.and i don't think he was surprised. i do hope he shows up on raw though.
