I have to wonder if Rourke's character is an amateur wrestler or a professional one?

The officals in Iran need to lighten up. I mean, they never demanded an apology from WWE during its WWF days when Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior respectively ripped up Iranian/Iraqi flags all the time in their matches and now they want an apology about "The Wrestler?"

Yeah it's pretty funny to say the least. The whole Middle East should ask FOX and the producers of 24 for an apology too since they always try to blow up something every year LOL.

Haha. I didn't find a problem with this. Flags are used all the time in wrestler as weapons.

Yeah, FOX (both its TV station and News network) is WAY more offensive than anything that's in that movie! I mean, they accused Rachel Ray of supporting terrorism because she wore a scarf in a Dunkin Dounuts commercial and called Michelle Obama (before she was First Lady) "Barack's Baby Mama" when she's married to him, plus I would hardly call the woman a ghetto head! If those two women can't get an apology, then what makes Iran think they will get one over "The Wrestler."

And, to the last poster, you are absolutely right. While I do respect other cultures and I am not a hardcore American, this is still my country and for them to complain when they are always burning our flag and calling America "The Great Satan" is rather two-faced.

By hardcore American, I mean I am not with the "love it or leave it" philosophy. Still, if you are going to say it, don't expect everyone to agree with you.
