WWE Universal title match announced for the 2017 Royal Rumble

The 2017 Royal Rumble started to take shape yesterday on Raw with the first match announced, and it’s good news for Roman Reigns haters as has no chance of winning the Rumble…again!

The WWE Universal title will be on the line as Kevin Owens will be defending against Roman Reigns in a rematch from the Roadblock pay-per-view. The only thing different this time around is that Chris Jericho, Owen’s BFF, will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage! Jericho will have an awesome view of the stadium!

As for the 30-man over-the-top Rumble match itself, only two participants have been announced so far: Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.

The Rumble next year will be at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It was first held there in 1997 and then the show returned to San Antonio in 2007 so this looks to be once-in-every-10-years thing.
